Montgomery County Alcohol, Drug Addiction & Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) launched a new smartphone app to help people connect to a network of brain health service providers in the palm of their hand. The GetHelpNow Montgomery County app is available for download from the Apple App Store or Google Play for Android.

“This easy-to-use app will change how we help people immediately find the right type of services they need, “said ADAMHS Executive Director Helen Jones-Kelley. “We recognize it can be frustrating at times for people to know which provider offers what services. This app is aimed at eliminating much of the guesswork and numerous phone calls.”

GetHelpNow Montgomery County is a quick way to find services for addiction and mental health treatment and services. The app, developed by Ascend Innovations, gives users directions from their current location, direct call ability, the types of services offered by each provider, and the insurance and payments they accept. Plus, users can find supportive services such as naloxone training, hotline phone numbers and housing services.

The app is critical for everyone to find the right support to help them and their loved ones work through addiction, said Ascend Innovations CEO Rick Peters. “Ascend’s investment from Premier Health, Kettering Health Network, and Dayton Children’s enabled this partnership with ADAMHS.
